Background & Experience
François Paquin emerged as a successful leader in the greater Montreal real estate industry after graduating from the University of Montreal’s Law School in 1971. He began his career with United Trust in the Ottawa-Hull region, and quickly became one of the region’s most respected realtors. After two highly successful years with United Trust, he purchased real estate brokerage firm, L.P. Dessureaults et Frères Ltée, where he supervised a team of more than 20 agents.

In 1980, he returned to Montreal to join General Trust and was promoted to Vice-President of the I.C. & I. division in 1991. Mr. Paquin was admitted in 1992 as a Fellow with the Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI) and completed his degree in real estate at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1993.

In 1993, François Paquin founded Société Immobilière Élan International, taking with him a number of his team members from General Trust. In April 2005 Élan International joined NAI Global to carry on its expansion and better access the worldwide real estate market and was renamed NAI Commercial. Today, NAI Commercial has over 20 agents servicing Quebec companies as well as NAI Global International customers interested in investing in Quebec.
